Google Labs & DeepMind Launch “Pomelli” — An AI Business Tool

Google Labs, in partnership with Google DeepMind, has launched Pomelli, a new AI marketing experiment aimed at helping small and medium-sized businesses create fast, on-brand marketing campaigns.

The program creates unique marketing content and branded images by scanning a company’s website to determine its tone, colour scheme, and general design style—what Google refers to as a “Business DNA.” Currently, users in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand can access Pomelli in public beta in English.

How Pomelli Works

Pomelli starts by creating a Business DNA profile by examining a company’s website and photos. This contains the components that give a company’s material a uniform appearance and feel, such as brand colours, typefaces, voice, and style.

The AI may create editable marketing materials, such social media posts, ad banners, and website text, after this profile is established. To develop certain assets, users may either add their own prompts or choose from Pomelli’s AI-suggested campaign ideas.

Everything it creates adheres to the distinctive identity of the company, from images to ad copy. The content can then be downloaded, edited, and refined by businesses for use in their marketing channels.

According to Google, the goal is to save small businesses time and resources. Instead of hiring design teams or agencies, brands can use Pomelli to generate quick, on-brand campaigns that still look professional.

Why It Matters

For many small businesses, building consistent brand content can be expensive and time-consuming. It can be costly and time-consuming for many small businesses to create consistent brand content.

By giving business owners direct access to top-notch AI marketing tools, Pomelli seeks to change that. As an early-stage experiment under Google Labs, Google claims to be gathering input to make the experience better.

“It might take a while to get things right,” the business said, highlighting its dedication to improving the tool based on feedback from actual users. Millions of small businesses worldwide could benefit from faster, more individualised, and more inexpensive content creation thanks to Pomelli’s integration of DeepMind’s AI capabilities with Google’s design tools.
